Commissioners' Conference

Commissioners' Conference

Join us for this year's Commissioners’ Conference!

Our commissioners make it happen! At this year's conference, we have designed interactive sessions on areas you have told us matter to you.

There is a £10 contribution for attendance, which can be claimed back from your county/island, division or district.

Sessions

The day will include sessions focusing on:

Session 1 “We make it happen by asking an expert"

You said, it can feel like as a Commissioner you need to be an expert on everything. Fear not, we have experts available for you to rely on! Our experts will talk about the below areas. You will be able to take part in two bite size sessions.

  • Being an email ninja
  • Enabling international experiences
  • Reviewing risk assessments
  • Enabling large-scale events
  • Being on message in your PR and branding
  • Supporting young leaders
  • Volunteer retention

Session 2 “We make it happen by having space to grow"

You said you wanted more opportunity to meet other Commissioners in a relaxed environment. This is a session purely for you combining pottery and mindfulness.

Session 3 “We make it happen by having strong foundations"

You said you wanted to learn from other Commissioners and find out what works well for them. You will navigate around a tabletop board game in a session that will enable you to network, share expertise, problem-solve and have fun!

In addition to the above sessions, we also plan on having some 1:1 appointments available during the day.

  • With Rosemary, our lead volunteer for complaints and compliance
  • With Lyndsey, our lead volunteer for safeguarding
  • For GO queries (please bring your laptop/tablet)
