Level 2 walking assessment

Level 2 walking assessment

The Level 2 assessment course is aimed at members 18+ who have already undertaken a level 2 training course or have an exemption from training. Your logbook should also be complete. Participants will be assessed on all aspects of the level 2 syllabus, except for first aid and the water safety module. The assessment course will involve physical activity and being out in all weather conditions, including a night navigation on Saturday evening.

Bookings are open to volunteers from all regions within Girlguiding.

Click here to view the Girlguiding walking scheme which gives the syllabus and expectations for the assessment process.  https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-for-volunteers/learning-and-development/leading-outdoor-adventures/walking-scheme/

There will be some pre-course preparation to do and you will be required to submit your logbook in advance. A mandatory Zoom session will also be included. This will be offered in conjunction with the assessors for the course. It is anticipated that this will take place in the week beginning Monday 14 September. A date will be confirmed after consulting with those booked for the course.

The course fee is £130 to cover food, accommodation and assessment. Upon booking you can chose to pay a deposit of £35 or the full price. The balance will be due by 31 July 2026.
